Operation Five Minute Mission

At Kempton of Hermitage, great care is serious business, but that does not mean it cannot be fun.

The community has embraced NxtGen Care, an advanced technology platform and they’ve added a playful twist. Inspired by the classic game Operation, nursing leadership created a themed bulletin board and friendly staff competition focused on one goal: keeping response times under five minutes.

The theme turns performance into a team challenge. Staff rally around the board, celebrate quick responses, and encourage one another to stay sharp. It builds energy, accountability, and shared pride in delivering excellent service.

Behind the fun is powerful technology. Residents and team members wear bracelets that provide real time data helping staff respond quickly, support well-being, and strengthen social connection.
